    Description

    Buescher “True Tone” Cornet to Trumpet Mouthpiece Adapter.
    This adapter is intended to receive cornet mouthpieces and adapt them to fit into early Buescher trumpets. This specific mouthpiece came with a Buescher “Model 9” trumpet, and unfortunately I forgot to include this adapter when I sold it many years ago.
    I would like to be clear that this adapter is not meant for modern trumpet shanks. It is specifically intended for Pre-1928 Buescher trumpets
    , such as the aforementioned Model 9, which was produced from 1911-1928. These trumpets used an older standard of mouthpiece shank, and as such are not compatible with standard mouthpieces like a Bach 3C.
    In 1929, Buescher switched to modern mouthpiece shanks as they abandoned their single and two digit naming scheme and switched to their three-digit names.
