Item Description
Here is a great vintage Olds French horn for your buying consideration.
Recently acquired it at an estate sale.  Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself.
Here is an vintage french horn from the folks at F E Olds of California for your buying consideration.  There are some minor dings and dents along the bell pipe as it approaches the bell.  Probably made around the mid 1950s.
The horn has stenciling on it and then "Ambassador??, Made by, F E Olds, Fullerton CA" on the bell.  I see no serial number on the horn.   Leather cover by the valves to protect the finish of the horn.
The horn has a gold colored lacquer finish.  Certainly loss of finish over the years, but still looks pretty good.
The three valves on this french horn all move freely.  The tuning slide moves freely as well, and there is one other slide that comes with this horn.  There is no mouth piece that came with the horn.
The french horn is 16" long, by 22" tall, by 12" (across the bell).
The horn will most likely need some refurbishing for it to be playable again.
There is great old leatherette
case that comes with this horn.  Latches and hinges all working.  Some finish loss and pulling away of leatherette finish.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
